Brooklyn Half Kids Races at 11:15 a.m.

A follow to the last post ... if you run a 2 hour half-marathon, that puts you in Coney Island at 9 a.m.. If you wanted to bring your kids down to run the races in Keyspan Park, that means sticking around for another 2:15.

Still might be worth it, though worth keeping in mind as you plan your race day.

On the flip side, a 7 a.m. start means that you could be back at Farrell's by 10 a.m. (I'm guessing it's open on race day, though don't know for sure)

That is crazy. It really shows the disconnect the NYRRC has. They don't see how their events are part a a big picture.

Coney Island's rides and attractions will be opening early and like last year offering discount specials to welcome the runners and their families. For example, the Cyclone Roller Coaster and the Coney Island History Project will open at 10 am instead of the usual 12 noon and 1pm. Hope to see you there!

I'm going to assume the NYRR hasn't updated this portion of the race page, 'cause otherwise, this is rediculous. Thanks CIC for your post...my kid is dying to hit CI this year!!
