New York Marathon Transportation

Two local running clubs are offering marathoners a chance to get to the New York Marathon start by providing buses that leave near Prospect Park on Marathon Sunday.

The Brooklyn Road Runners is providing a bus that leaves at 5:30 a.m. from Circles (15th Street and Prospect Park West). Price is $15 for members, $20 for non-members. To reserve a spot, contact Steve Bonal at 917-238-9947.

The Prospect Park Track Club has a similar bus that will leave at 5:45 a.m. from 9th Street and Prospect Park West. Price is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Checks can be made out to PPTC and sent to PPTC, P.O. Box 150658, Van Brunt Station, Brooklyn, NY 11215-0658. Questions? E-mail contact@pptc.org or leave a message at (718) 595 - 2049.

Both clubs say the buses will be leaving on the dot in order to get across the bridge before it shuts down for traffic, so if you make reservations, be on time.

** REMEMBER THAT DAYLIGHT SAVINGS STARTS ON NOV. 4, SO PLAN AHEAD **
