A blog devoted to all things related to running in Brooklyn. It's designed to provide information and help us all get better while we learn about the people we pass while running in Prospect Park, over the Brooklyn Bridge or down to Coney Island. Summer Streets!!
Today marks the second of three Saturdays of Summer Streets - our own block party (well, we have to share it with cyclists, but there's plenty of room on Broadway). Great excuse to get out there and run long! I was over the Brooklyn Bridge this morning and marveling at all the Team in Training and Fred's Team runners coming the other directions - and shortly realized why.
Summer Streets goes thru next Saturday, with plenty of places for water, breaks and simply a chance to run across friends. Yes there are occasional places you have to stop for the light, but it's a great chance to do something different for a long run in the city. The route stretches from Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park, just shy of 7 miles.
