(Crossing ...This is my first Half Marathon as well. (Crossing it off my Bucket List. :-)) My longest run so far is 11 miles. I'm nervous about the hills in Prospect Park. I've never been there but have heard that it is challenging. How bad is it? What do newbies need to know about surviving the hills? Can you provide any details of the terrain? How many uphills? How steep and long... Thanks for any info/advice!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3666058531918387271.post-92226021249041640392009-05-22T00:43:58.040-04:002009-05-22T00:43:58.040-04:00My first half as well, and first time commenting, ...My first half as well, and first time commenting, though I've been lurking for awhile.

Man, my heart momentarily leapt to my throat when I wondered, "wait, what if headphones really are banned?" Oh well.

Good luck to all!Lizzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17526704833136580156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3666058531918387271.post-17171605188558645542009-05-20T15:26:00.157-04:002009-05-20T15:26:00.157-04:00is it odd that the water/fluid stations are every ...is it odd that the water/fluid stations are every two miles? I ran the 8k race back in march and the water was practically every mile. Also, because I'm used to running with a water bottle, I sip pretty much whenever I want :/ I guess I'll have to remember to chug!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09540440810449410755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3666058531918387271.post-37292659782141649562009-05-19T19:34:30.965-04:002009-05-19T19:34:30.965-04:00And, good luck!
